PermaCast Round No-Taper Columns

PermaCast® columns are the most used columns in the United States. Made from a proprietary blend of fiber-reinforced polymers, PermaCast columns provide an aesthetically pleasing column with exceptional structural capabilities. This durable and low maintenance column provides a seamless look to the front porch that stands up to the elements like no other product on the market. PermaCast® columns are rot-proof weatherproof, insect proof, and come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Round No-Taper columns offer the same inside and outside diameter throughout the height of the column. Round No-Taper Permacast Columns are made from marble dust and fiberglass allowing them to be loadbearing and an excellent structural support. These columns can be ordered with a plain look or a flute that would extend the length of the column.

Caps and Base Sets

The standard cap and base for a PermaCast column are made of polyurethane. They fit over the shaft and do not alter the height of the column. The Tuscan Cap and Base are the Standard for this column but are sold as separate items. PermaCast No-Taper cap and base sets do not come with a flashing or installation kit.

The Decorative Cap and Base sets do not fit well with a no-tapered column. If this look is wanted, order the next size up for the cap but the correct size for the base (ie: 8” column, order 10” cap with an 8” base). It will need to be modified in the field to fit properly.

Neckmoulding

Neckmoulding is a trim piece that can be put at the top of the column for a more decorative approach. For Round No-Taper columns, they are not shipped with the column and are a loose accessory. This part is a special order piece and will be available with the standard HB&G special order lead time.

EzyJamb

Note: EzyJamb is no longer offered. This article will remain available as a reference.

EzyJamb is a trimless door frame which wraps the drywall during framing and, when mudded and painted, blends seamlessly with the wall. This frame system is installed prior to the wall being finished so the frame becomes part of the wall, eliminating any door unit and wall separation. The EzyJamb system does not need casing applied to complete the unit allowing for a stream lined, contemporary look.
