SOSS Hinges are commonly referred to as an “Invisible Hinge” due to the lack of visible hinge barrel when the door is closed. They are found in many applications where flush fit, compact size and smooth operation are necessary features. Due to their size and thickness, these hinges must be used with a 5/4 interior flat jamb. They work best with solid core doors with double wood stiles, stave core doors, and stile and rail doors. Hollow core doors are not recommended with these hinges due to the construction.
There are two versions of the SOSS hinge: the #216 for 1-3/8″ doors and the #218 for 1-3/4″ doors. They are available in the following finishes:
- US10BL – Oil Rubbed Bronze Laquered
- US15 – Satin Nickel
- US3 – Bright Brass
- US4 – Dull Brass
