Each exterior jamb has certain portions that will have the same size. For example, the kerf is 1/2” to accept the weatherstrip. The thin part of the jamb is 3/4″ while the larger part is 1-1/4”. The inset for the door is 2-3/16” wide. As the depth of the jamb increases, the thick part of the jamb will increase as well.
