Fypon Beam Mantels

Fypon’s Beam Mantels add a rustic charm to the interior of any home. Made from durable polyurethane, the beams do not require additional structural support like traditional wood beams. They can be painted or stained any color to complement a home’s architectural design.

The Beam Mantels were tested to ASTM D1929 – Ignition Temperature Evaluation on Beam Mantel Polyurethane Foam using Foamresin-R Material, and shown to be safe from ignition at a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius or 572 degrees Fahrenheit. As a comparison, soft wood will ignite at 180oC or 300oF. Testing by a third-party lab showed a weight load capacity of 200 pounds when installed according to the installation instruction.

The part number for the beam mantels is BMTPXHXLMMM-EC where:

  • BM = Beam Mantel
  • T = Type (H – Hand Hewn, R – Rough Sawn)
  • P = Projection
  • H = Height
  • L = Length
  • MMM = Material (ELM – Elm with Hand Hewn, CDR – Cedar with Rough Sawn)
  • EC = End Cap

Backed by a lifetime limited warranty, Fypon products won’t warp, crack, rot or split, saving future replacement and maintenance. There is no stain or paint prep saving time and labor during installation. It is recommended to use Loctite PL Premium Adhesive (Part Number ADH1) as a bonding agent to the exterior or interior surface, followed by screwing or nailing to securely fasten for polyurethane products
