Commercial Masonry frames are installed using dynabolts and are better suited for an exterior opening due to the frame material being galvanealled steel. They work by setting the frames to one side of the cinderblock or concrete opening, usually towards the exterior. Because they’re set to one side of the opening, Reeb will only stocks a 5-3/4” frame depth. If a wider frame is desired, this can be special ordered. Reeb’s Commercial Quoting department is a great resource for special order information.
Reeb’s Commercial Drywall frames have Compression Anchors and Sill Straps for installation and are better suited for interior studded openings due to the frame material being cold rolled steel. They work perfectly when wrapping around a drywall opening, and are stocked in 5-5/8”, 5-7/8” and 7-3/4” frame depths. Drywall frames when installed will wrap around the wall, making the throat size one inch smaller than the frame depths. For example, a 5-5/8” frame will work with a 4-5/8” wall depth. Drywall frames are available special order in other jamb depths. Reeb’s Commercial Quoting department is a great resource for special order information.
Reeb’s Commercial Split Steel frames have a nailing flange that fits around the wall and nails to the face of the drywall or sheetrock. These frames are adjustable from wall depths from 4”-9-1/4” making it the perfect frame for the forgotten door on the jobsite.
