Fypon Features and Benefits

Exterior millwork details have traditionally been constructed of wood, PVC, or stone, all of which can be costly and time-consuming to manufacture and install. Wood products need to be treated against weathering and insects. PVC products are intolerant to extreme temperatures and UV while also expanding and contracting.

Stonework requires a skilled mason, is very heavy and expensive. Newer projects and historic renovations both offer opportunities for new materials to replace the traditional options. Using Fypon’s polyurethane millwork products provides the versatility, quality, durability, longevity, and labor savings that other materials cannot.

Fypon products are low-maintenance due to their closed-cell structure which resists moisture and insects. The can be cut, trimmed or shaped like wood using standard woodworking tools. There is a greater accuracy and consistency from the first part to the 1000th part crafted due to the manufacture process.

Backed by a lifetime limited warranty, Fypon products won’t warp, crack, rot or split, saving future replacement and maintenance. There is no stain or paint prep saving time and labor during installation. It is recommended to use Loctite PL Premium Adhesive (Part Number ADH1) as a bonding agent to the exterior or interior surface, followed by screwing or nailing to securely fasten for polyurethane products
