Fypon manufactures two types of louvers both of which are made of polyurethane. Decorative louvers are a solid one-piece design that have closed, non-ventilating slats which do not allow air to pass through. Functional louvers feature slats with angles to help protect interiors from precipitation, insects, dirt and other unwanted elements, yet provide the additional airflow needed to help reduce heat buildup. The inside of the functional louver has a non-corrosive screen that helps keep insects out, while allowing airflow between the slats.

If you are ordering a functional louver, you should order a louver that is approximately 2” larger than your rough opening on all sides of the louver. This will allow you to attach the louver to the substrate through the brickmould edge.
Accessory pieces add style and beauty and are available for most louver styles. Keystones and trim pieces are available, pre-attached to standard products as fabricated items. Keystones and trim can also be ordered as unattached accessories by listing the matching part numbers as a separate line item on your order.
Backed by a lifetime limited warranty, Fypon products won’t warp, crack, rot or split, saving future replacement and maintenance. There is no stain or paint prep saving time and labor during installation. It is recommended to use Loctite PL Premium Adhesive (Part Number ADH1) as a bonding agent to the exterior or interior surface, followed by screwing or nailing to securely fasten for polyurethane products
