Throughout the centuries, wood doors have been chosen for their aesthetic appeal and resilient nature. Modern innovation has seen the use of fiberglass doors due to their durability and higher insulation values, but often sacrificing beauty…until now.
Introducing Reeb Finish PrismaGuard. A finish for fiberglass doors with the appearance of real wood and superior protection against the elements.
Our partnership with Therma-Tru has led to the development of a state-of-the-art pre-finishing system which combines factory precision with hand-brushed artistry creating truly outstanding results. The competition simply cannot match the realism and durability of PrismaGuard.
We think it’s the most realistic, the most natural, wood-looking stain finish for fiberglass doors that’s available on the market.
Each door and all its components are carefully inspected and prepared for the stain process prior to entering the coating area. We’re wiping everything down to remove any kind of residue whatsoever. We’re priming the edge. We’re sanding it, and then we’re re-priming for the base coat process. We inspect everything a second time to make sure everything is up to Reeb standards.
Once the base color has cured, the stain is applied, and then it’s moved over to the Reeb Finish Artisans. The begin working the product in throughout the door to make sure the brush strokes flow with the grain patterns, and this is particularly important as it’s the brush strokes that provide a secondary grain appearance and depth that you would find in natural wood. Once the stain has cured, we begin our top-coat process.
It’s a 2-step, catalyzed process that you can’t duplicate in the field. The first step provides a sealant between the door and the stain, which begins to bring out the depth of the stain. The second coat is applied shortly thereafter and it further enhances the beauty of the stain and provides maximum protection of the stain and the door that gives us the confidence to provide a ten year warranty.
A consistent goal for Reeb Millwork has been our inventory. It’s something we’ve prided ourselves on. Why? It’s to be able to offer our customers and their customers a very fast lead time, a quick turnaround time for their products.
