Barn Door Hardware is typically thought of as a sliding door in front of an opening. However, there are many other configurations or layouts that can be accomplished with barn door hardware.
Standard Configurations may have one or two doors but they do not pass in front of each other. Listed below each configuration is all the hardware pieces that are needed. T represents the floor mounted T-guide location while C represents the track mounted Connecting plate location.
Note: The use and position of connecting plates may vary, depending on track lengths.
Single Door
Hardware needed for this configuration:
- 1 standard hardware pack
- 1 track = 2× the door width
Single Door larger than 4′
Hardware needed for this configuration:
- 1 standard hardware pack
- 2 or 3 tracks = 2× the door width
- connecting plate(s)
- extra wall mount kit(s)
Pair of Bi-Parting Doors
Hardware needed for this configuration:
- 2 standard hardware packs
- 2 tracks each = 2× the door width
- No connecting plate needed
Pair of Bi-Parting Doors Larger than 4′ each
Hardware needed for this configuration:
- 2 standard hardware packs
- 4 or 6 tracks each = 2× the door width
- Connecting plate(s)
- Extra wall mounting kit(s)
